Accountant – Full-time
Job Duties
Manage all aspects of accounting for management entities; manage all aspects of accounting for a section of non-fund properties; ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings; complete bank reconciliations; complete quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations; communicate and coordinate with external departments to obtain information on financial transactions, research reconciling items, and resolve any issues; respond to financial inquiries from departments; validate completeness of journal entry posting, review preliminary financial statements for responsible shopping centers and management entities, prepare and record adjusting entries as necessary; assist Controller with corporate inter-company journal entries; assist Controller to maintain & update property tax worksheet for all shopping centers; assist Controller in preparing financial info for annual tax return filing by outside CPA; assist controller and property managers with CAM(common area maintenance) estimates for annual budgets; help with quarterly and annual CAM (common area maintenance) reconciliations; process daily account receivables such as tenant rent payments by check and by ach direct deposit; record bank deposits; process daily accounts payables for the entire portfolio.
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Economics or a closely related field.
- Experience Requirement: Experience is not required.
